Stone 61

Stone 61 is the northeasternmost upstanding Bluestone in the inner horseshoe. About 2m to the right of it is a stone called Stone 61a, a stump that barely emerges from ground level.

It is difficult to get a single photo of the eastern face of Stone 61 as it is close the the front of Stone 51, so here are two separate shots - one of the top half and one of the bottom half:

Estimated above ground weight: 0.96 tons
Height: 1.75m (5ft 9in)

Stone 61a:

Stone 61 is of Type: Spotted Dolerite Group 3 whereas Stone 61a is of Type: Spotted Dolerite (ungrouped)
